Postponing a recurring task

If I postpone a current years task on a recurring event will it change the date for future years?

    Yes, it will. Postponing a task will shift its base due date. And thus, when a repeating interval is applied, it will apply to the new due date that has been just updated.

      Is there any way to postpone a current year's task without affecting future year's due dates
