Tasks Not Sorted By Priority

I can't reorder tasks as per my preference.

Even if I consider that to be a premium feature, they should be sorted out on the basis of priority.

However, they are completely random and the priority doesn't act as a criteria for descending/ascending order for the tasks which is weird and definitely a bug.

If they don't sort on the basis of priority with the highest priority at top and lowest at bottom, whats the point of having priorities?

This is uniform throughout the iphone app, the iphone widget, the macos app and the web app.

I use an iphone xr running ios14.4.2

A macbook pro mid-2012 running macos catalina 10.15.7

And I used the web app on the mac and my mac mini 2010 running macos high sierra 10.13
