Thank you for your feedback and concern about the translation quality!

Unfortunately, none of us at 1312 Inc. team speak German (we only speak English and Russian), and thus we ordered the app translation into German at a third-party translation agency whom offered some sort of blind translation — when a translator sees the list of strings to be translated and only screenshots of the result, but does not use the app on a daily basis. And I believe this is the reason of the feeling that the app is not being translated well...

We understand how important it is to make the app work and feel absolutely natively, and we are keen to make this happen in all languages supported by the app (currently we support localizations into 10 languages). But to be frank, it's a difficult question for our team now, because the ultimate way for this would be to invite the real app users to contribute to the translation of the final result. We are investigating options on how to make this an easy and enjoyable process for every app user but still offering the initial translation of all the new features done by our team. We'll do our best to find the solution!

Just to add — in case your concern about the translation into German addresses to some particular words or terms only (such as 'to-dos'?), feel free to make up a list of such improper translations, according to your opinion.

Having such a list will be a great resource for us for negotiating with the translation agency. I believe they will be able to review the list and to provide the updated translation so we can quickly integrate it it into the app.

    Thank you!
