App constantly crashes and freezes
The app freezes for about 15 seconds every time I unlock my screen or switch back to it from homescreen or every other app. Whrn it happens the app also has a high chance of crashing. This makes pocket list impossible to use. I look forward to any updates and implements towards stability of the app.

Usually it won't take more than a couple of seconds (even when you have thousands of to-do items). 15 seconds definitely sounds odd.
Please try to re-sign in with your PocketLists.com account on your device (Pocket Lists > Settings > Account> simply sign out and sign in back again). This will re-download the entire data from the cloud and ensure that the data integrity is ok.
Also, you may try to temporarily disable the real-time import from the Reminders / Calendar apps in the app settings to see if it is the reason of the app loading lags.
