Time zones: time-zone independent & UTC-based setup

3

I travel quite a bit and wondered if it is possible to get a tasks time zone to change to the new time zone. E.g. I have a reminder to take meds at noon but this changes to a different time depending on which time zone I am in. I actually want it to stay as noon wherever I am.

    Thank you for your feedback!

In Pocket Lists (as of iOS app version of 2.8 and earlier), to-dos with an exact time are saved in UTC (GMT) timezone and are then converted to your device local timezone. This enables all reminders to work at the same moment no matter where you travel, and in many cases this is a useful behavior.

Though, I fully agree with you that an option to make timezone-independent reminders sounds like a must-have feature. We will consider on how to make this possible with future Pocket Lists app updates.

I updated your post status from 'Question' to a 'Feature Request' so other app users can now upvote this post too.

I agree with the desire to have a non time changing time zone reminder.

My issue is somewhat different. Twice I have the reminders change time zones but not change back when I returned home which requires me to edit everyone of them. Is this a bug? Am I missing something ?
